My friend just rang and said he has an iPhone here in OZ.
Cost $699US, still working out the functions, will send calls but at this time won't receive, all works except youtube.

This isn't supposed to be released till halfway through 2008.

This bloke also has 'Leopard'...Bugger, I don't know how he does this but he must have very influential friends somewhere as he was 6 months ahead (so was I ) with all the Cats.

PS: for the Aussies, the iPhone is (sorta) working on Telstra

There was a youtube vid of an Aussie hacking the iPhone for use on our Telstra network down here. It shows him "readjusting" the sim card capabilities but believe me, it did not look simple and involved specialised hardware. Also on one of our local mac forums there is a 5 page thread filled with pics of iPhones downunder.
QUOTE Thanks
