Hey guys who has the iphone,

i know that the phones in the States are all service providers locked. ie, you cannot get it to work on another network's sim card.

Wondering if it's the same for the iPhone? Is it locked to ATT only?

I was wondering cause my friend in other countries want 1

Yes. The iPhone is locked to AT&T only! They have a exclusive contract with the iPhone for 4 years i believe (i might be wrong with the amount of years but i know that for some time, it will only be on AT&T)

i believe i have heard rumor that it will be introduced by another provider in some countries

i know in asian, the phones are not locked to the provider.

ever since i came to the states to study, i always get my phones from home, and use them here... I don't like the idea of my phone being locked by my provider.
