Can the iPhone access drives and folders that are shared over a network? Say, for instance I have a network hard drive with all my music on it, is there a way to access that drive from the iPhone?
Toss that idea in the update plate. I think they'll have to develop a user-accessible file system before you can do that, but I'm sure it will happen eventually. I was expecting that to be on it since it has full-blown OS X, but right now it doesn't feel that way. Right now there a a lot of gripes about not being able to copy/paste, download pictures or other web content, and many other things you would expect a device running a full OS to do.
But Apple wouldn't have bothered building a full OS unless they were planning to do big things with it. So, a little patience will surely pay off. (I hope)

Cool! Too bad you can't save/transfer files on your phone, just browse them on your computer. It'll be nice to be able to stream your entire iTunes library though.

Got it working but its not actually streaming your iTunes library, its controlling your library (Meaning the audio is playing on your computer and you just press next or pause. You can't select songs in the library
Oh, so are you able to listen to music from your computer on the iPhone or is it just to control your iTunes while listening to it on your home? Because if it doesn't stream to your iPhone, just use the Apple remote.
Anyone using it want to make a video of it in action?

Browsing you can see all the files and open PDF's and .doc's to read, and view pictures.....but you can't open mp3's or video files (even formatted for the iPod/iPhone)
