iphone 4s case
well i got my first iphone, iphone 4s form verizon, 99 cents with contract. im happy. but now for a case. checked all over the internet and it seems the lifeproof is the one. but now i find it distorts the sound badly. is this a trade off for a protective cover, also ordered a lifeproof case for my wifes iphone 5c. are all the cases going to distort the sound ?

no one here has bought a case for there iphone. just wondered if you were disappointed with the sound afterwards.

My wife has a case on her iPhone 4 and it does not distort the sound. I know lots of folks who have various types of cases on their iPhones and have not complained about sound distortion. iPhone cases may cause other problems like making the phone heavier and thicker but so far I don't know of anyone complaining about sound.

doesnt distort not has loud. guess it will sound better after i go to the VA and get my hearing aids.

LOL, yeah.... wearing your hearing aids should help. I just hope the VA gives you a decent pair and not ones made in the last century. ;)

all i know about them is for some reason they only cost me $50.00. there suppose to be $9000.00 hearing aids.

Well, that sounds good... no pun intended. :) I'm an old retired military guy who doesn't have much faith in the VA, but I have to admit I have had pretty good medical care and free prescriptions all these years.

well i went there for the $10.00 viagra and was told i could also get the hearing aids. hey why not.

That's quite a combo - Viagra and hearing aids. Anyway, I hope you put both to good use. :)

already been putting one of them to work on a weekly basis. well every three days. all i can afford right now. the other, well i have to travel 250 miles to get them, once to get my hearing check and then to get them. guess thats not bad for the cost.

You socialists you!! :)

Anyway, I've avoided the heavy-duty cases for iPhones so I can't speak to how much they muffle or distort the sound. I've gotten along with just a silicon case for the back that has "lip" round the front so that if I ever drop it (hasn't happened yet), the glass on the front is somewhat protected from breaking.

Obviously I try to be careful by bearing in mind how much a replacement will cost, which I think has also helped me avoid dropping it or leaving it on the car roof or all the other common things people do to their iPhones. I know that "policy" won't cover "acts of God" or what have you but (knock wood) I've lived a charmed life so far.

well doesnt sound bad to me now. and people i talk to say they dont hear any difference.

I have the Lifeproof Nuud case on my 5s and find no distortion on normal phone calls. I suspect trying to play music through the phone's speaker would be disappointing.
