Purchased first iPhone (5c) and I am wondering what you guys do to back-up the phone to your macs? Don't really want to go the iTunes or cloud route.
Thanks for the help.

Privacy concerns mainly, I would rather just back up to my macbook but how easy is it to back up to iTunes?

Backing up through iTunes does back up your phone to your Mac. You can even encrypt your backups if you're concerned (see the backups section in the Summary page of iTunes when you connect it).

Connect your iPhone to the Mac
Select the iPhone in iTunes
click on "Backup Now"
Doesn't get any easier than that.I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
