Hi,

I lost an Iphone 4 16GB phone in India.

Is there any way of recovering an iPhone back through the IMEI no.?

I have filed a police complaint and they have said that they will try and trace it even if the Sim card is changed.
Can my phone be traced even if the thief uses a different sim.?

The most imp. question is Can the IMEI number changed somehow?

Please HELP

Sandip

The IMEI= I'd LOVE to know how, but no not easily
The phone= You're probably screwed.. Just get a 4S And carry on.

Short answer: no. It's gone and you're not getting it back.

If you had set up Find My iPhone, you could perhaps locate it and alert authorities, send a message to the phone or even wipe it. I'm guess you didn't do this, however, so yeah. Gone and not coming back. Hope there wasn't a lot of personal info on it ...
