iPhone and iPad no longer syncing by wi-fi??

Have had iPad for a good while, but just got new iPhone 4S a few days ago. They both have been syncing just fine via wi-fi (yes, I had wi-fi checked in the summary pages and still do), but all of a sudden, my Mac Book iTunes) does not see them. Now having to plug in via cord and sync. What happened, and what can I do to get wi-fi syncing started again? That was one of the features that I wanted so much to use.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!Mary
