Just bought a iphone 3g but stuck in recovery mode please help!!!!

i just bought a iphone 3g, 4.2 firmware and 6.15 baseband please help!!! its stuck on recovery mode but i dont know what to do.

If you have tried each of the options listed here following the directions to the letter and it still doesn't work, then you're going to have to take it to an Apple Store or independent dealer or mail it in to Apple (depending on your location).

To make sure that I am understanding you right. Your phone is in DFU mode, but iTunes will not reinstall the OS from the firmware up when you plug it into the computer?
