Removing an app

Any idea on how to remove an unwanted app from my 3gs iPhone please?

I have a Mac Mini - 2007 ish - 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM - running OS X 10.6.8.
AND I LOVES IT!

From the home screen, tap and hold the application you no longer want. After a moment, it will start to wiggle and have an 'X' at the upper left corner. Tap the 'X' and it should vanish.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Then hit the home button, this stops the shaking icons and X's being available.
