When and how will we find out if the iPhone4 cases will fit the 4s?

I'm wondering if one of the current cases (AT&T or Verizon) will fit our new 4s? The picture of the 4s on apple.com kinda looks like the current Verizon iPhone4.

Apparently it's identical to the iPhone 4 externally, so I don't see why not.

Comparing pictures it really looks like the Verizon 4. Hopefully we'll find out soon. Otter Box makes no mention on their site of the 4s.

I am pretty sure the outside is exactly the same. Only thing I was wondering about but have not checked out, if the Camera is in exactly the same place?

I think the only thing they changed externally was the antenna but the design looks to be the same so 4S should fit all iPhone 4 cases. I am only assuming though.

The 4s side view is definately different than the AT&T 4 (vibration switch). Comparing it to the side view of the Verizon 4 however, it really looks the same.

OtterBox updated their site with the 4s cases on Wednesday, I ordered 2 cases yesterday

I called Apple support and asked this very question and their answer was that externally the iPhone 4S is exactly the same as the iPhone 4 and that all accessories (cases, screen protectors, etc) would work with both. I guess we'll really find out if this is correct in a week

The size of iPhone 4s and 4 are the same, but they are not 100% identical. In terms of choosing cases, you can be sure to use the same Verizon iPhone case for iPhone 4s. But you may not use an AT&T iPhone 4 case for iPhone 4s.

You can see the difference clearly with the following picture. The upper one is Verizon phone and the bottom one is AT&T phone.

If you want to buy an iPhone 4s case, make sure it says it's for iPhone Verizon, or compatible for all, such as this one:

Any case that is compatible with (your provider's) iPhone 4 will EXACTLY fit your iPhone 4S. If you want to be ultra-safe, get any "universal" iPhone 4 case.
