Any iDevice that has been upgraded to iOS 4.2 or later will not sync with iTunes 9. It requires iTunes 10 and there is no help for it other than to upgrade to iTunes 10.

There may be some help in downgrading an iDevice in the hacker community, but am not conversant in any of that myself.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
