Hi all,

I misplaced my old iPhone 3GS which was running on iOS 4.3.3 and had a temporary iPhone 3GS replacement. I managed to restore all my data in the phone on the iPhone 3GS replacement. Now, I have purchased an older iPhone 3G, and am having massive problems restoring it. Will it be possible at all? Since I've read somewhere that "iTunes won't let you restore data from a 4.0 backup to your downgraded 3.1.3."

How true is this and is there a way to bypass it?

Appreciate all the help that I can get.

Best regards,
Derek
