Welcome to Mac-Forums beefer!!!
What are you trying to do with the connection? If you are trying to do a bluetooth file transfer you may want to look at an app like this: http://www.technobolt.com/2011/03/24...ased-download/

Hope this helps,

- Simon

Thank you. I am new to Mac and iPhone. With Nokia and a PC that was the easiest way to transfer, obviously synching to iTunes is only done through the USB cable, old habits die hard

You can certainly use other phones like Nokia etc to bluetooth file transfer to the mac, it's just the iphone that doesn't allow it natively. With that app you should have no problems to file transfer via bluetooth to either your Mac or a PC.

Glad I could help a little
