iphone 4 ripped cable

basically whilst fixing my iphone (smashed screen..again!), i accidentally ripped a cable. it appears to be the one that links to the front facing camera!

i am planning on getting the iphone 5 when it comes out in summer, so im not that fussed about the FFC. but if i still reconnected everything up, minus the camera cable. would it still work?!

If it is the camera cable id say yes it should still work fine, only one way to find out though

still works! the main camera worked until i accidentally knocked the front cam on, now its frozen!

I did the same thing and phone was okay
I could even take a picture and save it
but i also (**** curiosity) hit the button to flip to face-side camera and now I have not camera. How can I make phone go back to regular camera?
I took battery out and this did not help.
Ideas?

Also, if I want to fix it, anyone know where I can buy the part?

do a hard reset and that should cause it to go back to the back camera if not then restore it and dont select the front camera. I did the same thing last summer.
