I there a way to disable the Wi-Fi on the iPhone? I am going to give my old
3G to my 9 year old son to use as a touch and if he is not able to resist the temptation to go "places" that he shouldnt, I want to be able to disable it.

Not sure why stopping wifi would particularly help.

However.... you can enable/disable access to various apps/facilities in Settings-General-Restrictions.

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup

Please use the reputation system if you think you've been helped - top right of this post

I would like the ability to take away his internaet access. An internet filter would be good enough. Then I would not have to take away the iPod, just internet access. He is smart enough to go in and turn Wi-fi on and off. You know how good kids are with computers these days.
