I'm new to all this stuff and I have the 2GB DATAPRO package. I usually surf the net for an hour or two (message boards and news sites) and listen to Pandora for a few hours. Am I gonna run out of the allowed 2GB at the end of the month? How can I check what I'm using? Does the 2GB plan allot of what I'm doing or should I go higher in my plan?
Thanks

Read this:

I know that the first link discuses the iPad...but the details still apply whether we're talking about an iPad or an iPhone.

Data Plans with Wi-Fi - DataPlus & DataPro Plan - Wireless from AT&T

This 2nd link has a table that estimates how much of various activities you can do on a data plan.

Hope this helps,

streaming anything (including music) is gonna hurt -- I think AT&T new pricing is designed to reduced constant streaming of any content.

I dont think I'm gonna have a problem running going over 2GB. I've had it a little over a week and I used 235.4 mb. I'm way under.

The more you use it...the more you will use it. I can almost guarantee that you will exceed 2gig eventually...at least some months. Then you will have to start "rationing" how much you use...or simply purchase more data.

Even if you're worried about running over your limit which you shouldn't, if you have a Wi-Fi connection use that when your home, AT&T doesn't charge you when your on Wi-Fi.
