I have an Iphone 2G (the first one) with the following issue. The phone signal goes and comes frequently, nevertheless the strength of the signal in the area. Sometimes phone calls donīt go out, or I cannot receive phone calls. This do not happen with SMS, phone calls only. What can be wrong? I had been told that can be the antenna, or the logic card. What should I expect? How much can cost me to repair it?

Do you have a case on this iPhone?

As Apple has demonstrated, most smartphones have the "grip of death" issue, including the older iPhones. Yours might be so affected. A case (for the 2G, anything that insulates the lower backside of the device from your hand) may help.
