    Iphone 3gs with OS 4.0
Since Apple said the antenna signal strength display algorithm is incorrect in the Iphone 4, is it also incorrect in the 3gs version of 4.0 firmware?

That is what they are saying. The 3G, 3GS and 4 were all affected. 4.0.1 just was released today that takes care of that algorithm .

    Thanks for the info.
I just loaded it and I had five bars before and 3-4 after.

I wonder if this will cause another wave of anxiety about A.T&T's signal levels.

Turned off Wi-fi and tested it and seems ok.

The update stated that it was for bug fixes and the signal meter issue..

    Specs:
    MacBook Pro 15" - 2.3 GHz Quad i7- 8GB RAM - 750GB Hybrid HD - OS X 10.8
I'm getting 4 bars in places where my parents' phones are getting 3. (Both have LG Shine on AT&T)

Not to nit-pick, but the new bars, while taller, are kinda ugly and look out of place.
