I recently upgraded my OS to 10.5.8 and performed all of the necessary program updates however I am now unable to see my iPhone in my iTunes sidebar as I used to. I have tried to google this but not found an answer that would work.

I've tried re-booting both computer and phone, collectively and independently.

Can anyone advise me?

thanks

After much searching and experimentation, I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. To find out how to do this (and it's easy) go to :

How to uninstall and reinstall iTunes on Mac OSX | eHow.com

This will not affect your music, podcasts, movies or any other item in your library. This simply affects the software that accesses your library.

There ya go! If you are having this same problem, I hope this solution has been helpful to you.

Cheers
