Apple...what the heck?

I dont know where to put this thread but I went to the AT&T store yesterday and they told me that they new iPhones wont be in stores to get them until next Tuesday!!!! Why didnt Apple send out a mass text or something to let people know??? My girlfriend bought 3GS and now im stick with a gay flip phone until next Tuesday(im spoiled

but whats up with that guys?

Apple and AT&T have already made their press releases...

June 29 is the first day that non-preorder iPhone 4's can be purchased.

Apple says that White iPhone 4's aren't available until Mid-July.

If you are thinking that a cell company is going to text tens of millions of users just because of one product... and annoy millions of people (not everyone is jumping into lines for an iPhone 4) with an unnecessary text message, you are greatly mistaken.

The iPhone 4 is coming out today for those who pre-ordered earlier this month..not for anyone else..

Today IS the release date, they just don't have any to sell to you.

Not true... I went about 6:00 pm to get my pre-ordered phone, got done at about 8:15 pm. However there was two separate lines. One for pre ordered phones , one for not. The none preordered people where in line pretty much all day since 6:00 am. For about every 40 pre order buyers, they took 2 walk ins. So they WERE selling iPhones to non pre orders it was just a iffy thing if you actually were lucky enough to get one.
