Cant connect iphone to macbook

Hi,

I had to get my 3 year old macbook hard drive replaced and just got it back yesterday. Keen to plug my iphone into it, sync it up and start uploading music and photos across, was dismayed to find that the macbook wouldnt recognise that i'd plugged my phone in. I'm using the white charger/usb lead that came with the phone.

any suggestions? i've sent an email to O2, the phone is on contract with them - but no response.

i've also gone out and bought snow leopard, hopefully this will fix it...

which window processer you are using on your computer.
