I was reading online that apple instated a new policy to replace water damaged phones, if you turn in your old, pay $199 usd. and it restarts your contract.. can anyone confirm if they still have this policy in act, the guy at the genius bar didn't mention it today

Why would you wanna do that anyways? Can't you just restart your contact and for $199 pickup like a 16GB 3G (or even better)?

Thank you so much! I wish the genius would have mentioned this to me when i drove 45 min to the store.. i will be going back next week for a replacement..
