anybody know of a cheap repair place for iphones, i know i need a new battery but it also is just being difficult on the software side, anyone know where i could send it ?

Also, what does "being difficult on the software side" mean?

i mean the battery is toast, doesn't hold charge at all... etc
and its throwing errors when i try to restore it

and no i haven't its def out of warranty, its a 2g i got second hand from a friend cause it wasn't working (battery)
