Will a screen protector effect the touch screen at all? I got big fingers and just barely get by typing on the screen. Will a screen protector make it worse?

Put one on my iPhone prior to turning it on for the first time.
I can't therefore compare the before and after, but I have had no issues with using the touch screen over the last 20 months or so.I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
