Plus tax! Wal-Mart? Well, I guess it fits in with Wal-Mart's other Chinese goodies. Sigh.

Someone in another forum mentioned a point that I had not thought of: not everyone is near an Apple store so this makes it easier for them to see it before purchasing.

I fell the iPhone has officially lost its "exclusiveness".

Why should it be exclusive? iPods aren't exclussive! I don't have an Apple store in my town, so now I can go get one there.

20" iMac Core 2 Duo
15" PowerBook
iPhone 2G 8GB
iPod Touch 8GB and Classic 30GB

I just remember that feeling when iPhone first came out and only a few number of people had it. Great feeling.

Great marketing opportunity for Apple though.

Yea, but it was a million spread out across the country. I rarely saw anybody else with a first gen iPhone, I was like the only one. Since the launch of the 3G, practically everybody has one.

The iPhone isn't going to lose its exclusivity with it being sold at WalMart. It lost it last year when the price dropped to the point where anybody could buy one.
