iPhone charging cable

I have been looking but cant find out if there is a longer charging/dock cable for the iPhone.

If not, could I use a short USB extenaion cable + the stock dock cable to charge the iPhone? My wife uses her iphone as an alarm clock and the outlets are too far away from the wall and we need to extend it about 2 ft to reach her night stand.

Yeah. You can get different length cables from Best Buy in the Geek Squad area.

I think he was talking about power extension cords, not USB cables.

Seems to me that a simple extension cord that you can get from a variety of places is the best bet here. No point in wasting money on USB cables when something much simpler will suffice.
