The data package will be $30. Go to the AT&T website and choose a minutes/ text package to fit your needs.

so the data plan for 30 dollars does not include texting?

is that special for the iphone cause the unlimited data/unlimited text plan is $30 as well on the cingular site.

so if i want unlimited data/text and phone itd be

$39.99 (phone plan) + $30.00 (data unlimited) + $20 (text unlimited) = $89.99

I can afford that easy, seems kinda ridiculous though if you compare it to other companies. Apple really has me by the nesmands, i love them so much and will probably do it anyway.

From what I read, the iPhone data plan is $10 more and it does not include the 200 text messages.
How is this Apple's fault btw? I believe AT&T decided on the plan pricing, not Apple.

yah but i have a feeling that the plan is priced as it is because of the deal with apple since they get a shaving of the profits.

so am i correct in my price add up? or am i over? just hoping im over a bit, or at least right on, if its more than that i may cry.

If you have unlimited data (or even just their version of it), do you really need texting? wouldn't it be more cost-effective to use an AIM/Y!/Messenger client? Please tell me there is an Adium-like app for the iPhone!

huh, I don't know why I thought the minutes plan was $50. It is indeed $40.

I do currently have over 3000 rollover minutes, anyone need some?

I think unlimited texting was $20 a month. Does the AT&T website not give pricing for their texting plans or are we doing the leg work for you?

I think it's ridiculous that the price is going up by $10 yet the 200 text messages are being cut out. What a crock!

How dare AT&T finally roll out the 3G network so we can actually achieve 3G speeds. Calling EDGE a 3G speed is pretty wacko. I can achieve max 50kbps in the city.
