sorry not sure if this is the proper forum for my quesiton.

My ipad2 is really screwy while trying to sync with itunes 11. I am quite frustrated. And I have never been a fan of itunes.

In any event, what is the best way to do an update to 6.1?

I would like the cleanest install possible with keeping my current appleid.

Thanks

What version of iOS are you currently running on the iPad? If it is beyond 5.x, then you should be able to go to Settings->General->Software Update and do the update directly from the iPad itself. Be sure to plug the iPad into the wall so it's charging while doing the update..

Un-jailbreak (reset). Your Apple ID will not be affected, but of course you'll need to do a backup and restore of your (legit) apps and data.
