Does anyone have any idea as to how many gigs are available out of the box?

iTunes reports the capacity of my iPad 2 as 13.84 GB. Seems like the iPad Mini should be the same.

If you're already thinking in these terms and you haven't even gotten it yet, you underbought.

I really wish I had purchased the 32GB version.

The 32 GB version shows just a bit over 29.5 GB of available space. But with all the great apps out there, that can get filled up fairly quick. Apple probably needs to increase the flash storage space on the iPad line when they introduce the iPad 5 version.
