Difference between new iPad camera and iPhone 4S camera?

Do any of you know if there are major differences between the iPhone 4S camera and the camera on the new iPad? Is one better than the other?

According to Apple, they are the same camera.

If you haven't watched the podcast or streaming video of the presentation, I'd recommend watching it (yes, the whole thing). Very good job all around.

Isn't the obvious difference the number of megapixels?

The iPhone 4S has 8MP whilst the iPad 3 is 5MP?
