Ipad 2 Screen rotates during movies?

when watching movies on my iPad2, the screen rotates, when I move the Ipad, from full screen to letterbox (or wide screen), is there a way I can stop this happening.

In General Settings on the iPad you can select whether the side button acts as Mute or Locks Screen Rotation.
Or, you can just double-click the Home Button to access controls and touch the Screen Rotation button to lock and unlock.

Double tap the home button and scroll left and hit the button on the left corner. That locks the screen orientation.
