I'm a newbie - I just bought an ipad2. It comes with the power adaptor, but does this have to charge thru the computer or can it plug from the ipad directly into a wall socket? Sorry for the dumb question.

You can do either..you have a USB cable that plugs into the iPad and can be plugged into a computer for sync'ing. You also have a small wall wart that has a USB plug on it, use that to charge the iPad from the wall socket..

Your box should look something like that..the plug is the white block there..

Your welcome..and since you don't root for the Jets, I can get along with you..otherwise..with you rooting for the Yankees (by your avatar) and Jets, I'd have to be hostile to you just on principle..

True New Yorkers can't root for either the Mets or Jets.
