The bigger question is...is it ever worth it to pay for extended warranties on ANY electronic device (or other products)??

There are always folks that feel that it's worth it...and there are other folks who do not think that it's worth it.

And obviously...folks that purchase extended warranties (and have a problem) are thrilled to have it. Many folks that do purchase extended warranties...and don't have a problem...may not be as happy about the decision.

The bottom line:

- extended warranties are a personal choice
- your new iPad automatically comes with 12 months of Applecare. And you can decide anytime in those 12 months whether you want to extend it.
