i love my ipad bit as i have no computer, occasionally run into some minor issues. my son has a perfectly functioning ibook g4 that i could use but it cannot be upgraded past Leopard. Will leopard work with the itunes version I need to upgrade/make occasional changes to my ipad. Upgrading to Leopard will cost me $100 or so and i don't want to spend it and find it won't do what i need.

Not likely, but iPads don't need to be synced to iTunes anymore, so you no longer need a computer to use and update an iPad (you do still need one for backing things up, though).
