Found this post on another blog where some guy had a projector hooked up to his ipad. From the pictures the ipad made the projector small.... so i got interested in finding more about this brand and their projector... these arent my pictures.. but i wanted to ask you guy some questions.

Are there any other companies making these micro projectors of this size that can get images this clear? I mean im not expecting anything amazing, just something decently sized, watchable and portable.

has anyone had experience with this particular projector?AAXA Technologies - Pico Projector Specialists - Advanced Nano-LCoS Systems
seems like a pretty new company but the products seem pretty cool

ipad hooked up to my AAXA M2 LED Micro Projector - Apple iPad Forum

I am using the Optoma Pico model 301

Optoma USA Pico PK301

with my IPad 2 and the HDMI connector. It works well and for short presentations (~ 1 hour) it has a built in battery so no power cord needed. It is slightly brighter when you plug it in but seems to be bright enough on battery. It is available from Best Buy for $399.

My company bought 2 Optoma Pico projectors - and I have to say, they're great for small conference rooms in low light. Anything bigger than your average 32" TV is going to be faded and indistinct.

If you're thinking of using an iPad 2 for any kind of serious movie viewing, you'll be much better served by a real projector (as opposed to a pico projector), used in tandem with an Apple HDMI adapter or VGA adapter (HDMI is kind of overkill since the iPad is limited to a scant 1024x768 resolution).

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
