Can I use my iPad as a keyboard?

I know that I can use my iPad as an auxiliary display for my iMac by hooking it up with Bluetooth, I want to know if I can use my iPad as a keyboard instead of a display.
The reason behind this is I have my iPad set up to have a keyboard in multiple languages and I want to be able to use this with my iMac

Not without an app of course. Rowmote Pro would be my suggestion, and I am pretty sure it contains multi-language support.

Another vote here for rowmote pro, it's my most used app!

However, sometimes the app randomly won't connect to the mac. When this happens just turn airport off and then on again on the mac and it should work.
