Question Sharpie on iPad + 3M skin
This is a really specific question, but I'm hoping maybe someone here can help me out.

I got my iPad autographed by a couple people at Comic Con this year, but I want to put a skin over it for awhile. Most of the skins seem to be made with some sort of 3M adhesive, and I'm trying to figure out if the adhesive will remove the sharpie when I eventually take the skin off.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I know some adhesives remove sharpie marks, but I don't know anything about the combination of this particular kind + the aluminum backing of the iPad.

    Thanks for any insight!

EDIT: Alternately, has anyone ever put a skin on a hard case? Wondering if that will look weird.

Sharpie writing on aluminum is not permanent, so yes, you can expect the autograph will either be removed or defaced when you pull the skin off.

I would think that since the skins are sized specifically for a "naked" iPad, that they would not fit correctly on a hard case.....but I could be mistaken.
