Display modes / screen power off

I can not figure out how to set just the display to turn off after 5 minutes and then come back on when I touch the screen? I don't want to have to press the home button to wake up the display if I am using the iPad for playing music or as TPControl of my AMX system.

I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but the ONLY way to wake up your iPad is to press the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button. Its right there in the User Guide -- that you can download for free from the Apple website.
