top right area gets warm

hi so i just got an iPad as a gift 4 days ago and when i use it for more than like 30 minutes the top right area (near the volume control) gets kinda warm, not HOT just warm. is this normal ?

Sounds normal to me, only get worried if you get the "overheating" error message.

 MacBook Air 13'' (2013) 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel Core i7
 iPad 4 (16GB) White
 AT&T iPhone 5 (32GB) Black
 Original iPad (16GB) Black
