ibooks for oztralians

does anyone know whether we will ever be able to buy and download current bestsellers to our ipads in oz?

i actually managed to import one in epub format onto my macbook pro but there's no way i can get it onto my iphone or ipad, despite paying big $$$ for it.

so now i can answer my own question. by downloading the kobo ebook reader for ipad i can buy and download books to my ipad. happiness! can't do it on ibooks (?yet). had to buy the same book twice though because i couldn' t access it through kobo. it's sitting forlornly on my bare ibooks shelf, unable to be opened. wrong format. (epub adobe digital editions).

Australians.
I'm from the big island south of the equator. And no one in Aussie calls our land Oz. Just a little point cause it annoys me so much.

Calibre is free or donate ware and convert all forms of pdf files to iBook and when connected to iPad via iTune, it can upload the converted file to iBook. Dictionary works in all converted pdf files. Even magazine can be converted to iBook and uploaded to the library though sometimes the pagination can change due to font size etc.
No need to access iBook store anymore.

i have the kindle app as well as kobo. seem to be able to get a reasonable array of books, but not through ibooks.

i have calibre, still couldn't convert my book and read with ibooks.

(btw the8thark, i was thinking, ohhh, brizvegas....THAT explains everything)
