I'm about to start a new job with a company that will issue me a Windows laptop (yuk). I'd like to keep my emails and other personal things off that laptop. My job will have me traveling all over the country and maybe internationally, so I'm thinking about buying an iPad and MobileMe rather than carry my MacBook along with the Windows laptop.
All I'll use it for is surfing the Internet and emails. Will I need 3G or will Wi-Fi suffice? Also, what's the least memory I can get by with? TIA. |

If you want to be pretty certain of interet/email connection you need to go with the 3G version.
As far as capacity, I bought a 64gB 3g model and 1000 songs a few dozen books and 6 feature length Movies (via Handbrake) put me at ~ 1/4 full. 32 gB is probably plenty and you might be able to get by with the 16gB version. |

~~Side note: It really irks me when so many people complain about the iPad not have large enough memory capacities therefore saying they'll pass on buying one. Seriously, WTF do you need more than 32GB or 64GB for??? Do you plan on carrying more than 20 GB of music around at all times?? Or every episode of Lost / BSG on it? LIVE and PSN: EZCOMPANE

I have the Incase iPad case that you can find at the Apple store. I like it lots cause it looks nice since it is made of leather (looks more pro at work) and it is very well made.
