Ok, I'm having issues with Safari on iOS. Whenever I type something in the address bar, or I go to switch tabs, it keeps on crashing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you updated your iOS to the latest you can use, whatever version that is?

I'm just a fairly new iPad 2 user, but from what I read when things go goofy and the iOS has been updated to the most recent, then a restart or reset is advised.

But do a backup before resetting it back to factory otherwise you'll loose all your data.

See these, and maybe one of them will fix your problem:
