I have just saved a number of e-mails on iPad to an iCloud folder. When I looked in the folder none of them appeared. In fact they all seemed to have disappeared altogether. Later a message cam up to say that they could not be moved and I think that they are all back in the inbox whence they came.

Realising that there must be a failure to connect via Wifi I had previously moved them on the iMac to a separate folder 'On My Mac'.

For future reference would the files ultimately move once a connection is established or must they be moved from the inbox when they eventually reappear there?
QUOTE Thanks

I've tried it and they will sync/move once a connection is re-established.

Although I can't say how long it waits to retry before giving up and returning them to the Inbox. I'm kind of surprised the returned at all. I guess it depends on what you mean by iCloud folder

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup

Thanks. They have all moved and I should have called it a mailbox rather than a folder.
