put videos on your iPad

Hi.. i have tv shows on my mac which i would like to watch on the go on my iPad.. how do i transfer them over? tried downloading a player to watch it on but didn't show up in my iPad apps on iTunes, so couldn't add anything to it.

Mac Specs: 2012 13" MBP (2.5 i5, 8GB)

The process is quite simple. Add the videos to iTunes and then select your iPad in the sidebar to the left. Once you've done this, select the Movies tab and then select the content that you want synced over.

You add them like you would music but the files will be added to the movies or TV shows category instead.
