Have a Macbook pro 17-inch, Mid 2010 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 and just upgraded from Snow leopard to Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.4 (12E55). Now ever time I open HD folder installer files automatically open and go to desk top. I have reinstalled them an put them in trash but they still keep coming back. How do I stop them form Popping up every time I open the HD?
QUOTE Thanks

Not enough info...

You mean you're opening the Finder, just booting the machine???

What installer files?

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

I have the Hard drive icon on desktop it has every thing in it. when I click on it, it opens and word 2011 installer/updater, garmin installer/updater and kodak printer upgrade/installer automatically pops up even tho I have updated/installed them. and I put them in the trash they come back when I go back into the HD folder.

Maybe take a couple of screen shots and post them.
Take one of your desktop with nothing open.
Then click on the HD icon - close the installers - and take a screen shot of the Finder window that opened when you clicked the icon.

Does the same thing happen if you open the Finder and go to the root of the drive?
