I gave my mother my old iphone 4. It recognizes our home network but refuses to connect. What is going on?

Welcome to Mac-Forums

Was this the same network it was connecting to before? If not, perhaps you can go WiFi settings and have it forget the network and re-establish the connection.

If that doesn't work, you can try resetting all network settings and see if that clears it up..
