My wife and I will be taking a train trip. I would like to use my iPhone to track our progress. First is this even possible? Also what kind of data usage could I expect on a thousand mile trip?

A couple of options for you:
* Trip Journal - Seems more polished with more features. $2.99 app
* Pathtracks - Basic path tracking if that's all you want. $1.99 app
