iPhone 5 optimised apps on iPhone 4
Is there any difference in the experience if an app update includes iPhone 5 optimisation when you still have an iPhone 4? Is the answer the same for all apps?

No difference. It will work now as it always has on older models (barring any new features otherwise) and will adjust to the iPhone 5's display if it is running on that.

Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).
