I have just bought the ipad 2 and I need os x 10.4 or greater to download an application called think or swim (stock charts). Can't seem to find it for ipad's. I am somewhat computer challenged...lol... any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated!

Apps for the iPad are in the App Store app on your iPad. Not there? It's not available.

10.4 is an older version of the Mac OS for desktop macs, so that program is a Mac application not an IOS app

Do a search in the App Store for Ameritrade - You'll find they have several apps available including 'thinkorswim'.

edit: Went ahead and moved the thread to the appropriate forum since this is related to an application for iOS (the operating system on the iPad, iPhone...) and not OS X (the operating system on a Mac.
