Help with reinstall

Hello! This is my first post and how I found you guys! so first off hi!
I bought a macbook pro from ebay. I have rebooted the system in hope of a fresh install of the operating system. The OS that was on there was the BETA version of OS mountion lion and so will no not reinstall. I just get an error message.
How can I can the machine working again? I would appreciate any help you guys can give

Have you got an Apple ID on iTunes?
Firstly, does the beta still let you use a recovery mode

To download Mountain Lion you will have to buy it from the App store, either by setting up a temporary account on someone else's Mac (be sure to delete the user account with your Apple ID after use), download the software and copy it onto a bootable USB stick
